On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 6th East Asian Conference on Phonosurgery (EACP), it is a great pleasure and an honor for me to invite you to participate in the 6th Meeting. This conference will be held in Kaohsiung, the second biggest city but largest harbor in Taiwan, on December 5-6 (Fri.-Sat.), 2008. The weather in this beautiful subtropical city is always as warm as the hospitality of the Taiwanese people. There are several recreation areas and a national park nearby where you can enjoy a sunny winter vacation with your family.

The human voice is our chief means of communication, a fundamental tool used in work and daily life, and a rich source of artistic pleasure. The Conference, which is held in East Asian countries every two years, brings together otolaryngologists, phoniatricians, and speech-language pathologists to share their knowledge about and expertise in the treatment of voice disorders. Since the first meeting, EACP has become the leading congress in East Asia in providing the most up-to-date information on phonosurgery.
